ENTRY FOR “CURVY” EDITION #9
“DON’T PANIC UK” MAP COMPETITION:
This was my entry for the “Don’t Panic UK” Map Competition.
The brief was to create a map of your weekend. My entry was voted #2 by public opinion and was in the shortlist to win first prize.
SPIRIT OF YOUTH AWARDS, 2012:
1. My concept was “Rest, and Re-Cover”; to produce album art for Australian artists covering classic ’80′s hits.
This is the album art for “Girls on Film” if it were covered by Sarah Blasko – still suggestive of sexuality, however traditional illustration elements mix with a strong contemporary coloured background.
2. ”A is for Artery” is another SOYA entry, and was inspired by the line “being born creative is like being born with too much blood in your veins.”
LIFE DRAWING – HEADS:
PICTOPLASMA COMPETITION:
CHARACTER DESIGN – YETI
The inspiration of this competition was to capture the essence of that mythical creature known as the Yeti.
I felt he is a somewhat likeable, misunderstood creature, who is just trying to keep warm in a cold climate. (Hence the fact that he does not have “fur”, but actually a bathrobe).
SKETCHBOOK PROJECT (U.S.A.):
I was fortunately chosen to be a participant in the sketchbook project, an initiative that began in Brooklyn, USA.
Lucky sketchers are chosen and provided with a sketchbook and a particular theme. The sketchbooks are then collected, and exhibited internationally.
Below are a few pages from mine.
