MEN WITH BEARDS OPENING NIGHT @ OFF THE KERB GALLERY
SEVENTH GALLERY SUPER SELL-OUT SHOW
Attended the Seventh Gallery event on 21st December. It’s a fantastic event, at which patrons pay $40 for a ticket and sticker. When the bell rings, they are poised to place the sticker on the artwork of their choice!
If you are an artist you can also donate 3 works and attend for free. I picked up a rather nice piece myself, and was happy to see mine stickered in return. If you’re reading this and you chose my work, thank you! I hope you’re enjoying it.

REFINERY 29 ART PROJECT
A US site I have been getting more addicted to lately is Refinery 29. They have a fantastic art project inspired by Nancy Ramirez (http://cozamia.com/index.htm) which you might like to try yourself at home!

DESIGN FESTA VOL 35 EVENT @TOKYO BIG SIGHT DAY 1, PART 2
My pictures really don’t do justice to the scale of this thing. IT. IS. HUGE.
Thank you again to all our friends in Japan for visiting, and to Caroline McCurdy for becoming a part of my mad plan to be an exhibitor. She features in some of this collection of Design Festa photos, and her work can be found at http://www.carolinealexandramccurdy.com/
HELLO NEW FRIENDS!
TAKADANOBABA ON ACID
In light of the fact that I’m returning to Japan in May (although for a much shorter stay than last time), I’ve got to thinking about a piece of artwork that I have lusted after for years.
Sometimes I would just go to the Outré gallery on Elizabeth St, and look at it and think “one day I’ll buy that”. A string of low-wage jobs (yes, I include teaching in that) and rental housing made it impossible. (Having bought it, how could I hang it?)
So here’s a piece that has inspired me for many years, I hope you like it too.
One day I’ll buy it.
SNAKES AND LADDERS
A CD/sleeve I put together freelance-styles for the lovely folk singer and Triple j Unearthed winner, Mandy Connell. Artwork was by the talented Rosie Hood.
Her music can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/mandyconnell
New site for Mandy coming soon!
